Week 12 almost at the end game here wow. It was a relatively short week with only one assignment and a brief overview of our progress in the textbook on Thursday.
The Story of the Stone- There were two chapters that we had to read and ill give a one sentence summary for both. Prior to these chapters however was an introduction to the stone that contained these stories which was described as a sentient stone that had recorded these stories one to one with how reality played out. The first chapter had a man by the name of Shi-yin who had a dream with a Taoist, monk, and a disenchantment fairy. Shi-yin would soon meet Yu-cun and give him charity and shortly would lose his one and only daughter to a man who threatened it before. The last chapter has Bao-yu criticized by the Disenchantment fairy for being lustful in his lessons pertaining to music which must be changed. These stories felt so wildly different from each other that it is hard to see them being even part of the same group of stories. I hardly could keep track of the events happening in the two chapters for the majority of the time but I was able to find the similarity of both having the disenchantment fairy present to the main characters as a sort of lesson for both of them.
Thursday- Today we were given one simple question. We were asked on how exactly this textbook we were working on could go as horribly as possible, which are group answered with being unprepared, not doing any of the work required, and having next to no communication between groups to coordinate the finishing of the textbooks editing. I have gotten work done required for our group to be moving at a steady pace and my group members are also in suit with that methodology of being the fact checker group. We in this exercise know what not to do in order for this revisioning to take place and we will get the text book finished on time.
