This week was a good week for my group in our improvements to the text book because we actually were all there instead of being separate due to personal reasons.
Shaanbei- This was a summary about the many facets of the Shaanbei traditions and beliefs in Chinese history. Traditions had them praying to diets to give them luck along with other forms of blessings to better their lives. Throughout is also a comparison to Christian beliefs in my eyes being an easier transition on how the readers perceive the practices of the Shaanbei as a whole. In reading the chapter it felt rather dull to get through because it explained many things I had little care for. The part that stranded out to me most would have been the area it is mentioned in the word of belief being a plural one due to the fact the Chinese did not believe in a singular belief with gods and such which interested me.
Thursday- Today I was able to meet up and discuss with my group in how far we have gotten into the fact checking process of the student textbook. We have noticed that the job we were doing was rather basic in how it was executed and we had a newfound base of inspiration into completing the textbook. We also heard briefly about the presentation project but did not find the time in order to discuss it.
